At MPI, I've been fortunate enough to be able to use one of the school's iPads and also recently got an iPhone. I have been caught up in a flurry of Apps for use in Education and have decided to share some of my favourites here.
Pintrest - you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web". I have started using Pintrest with my Social Studies class, students will be pictures of traditional-style houses as well as their own house (non-traditional). I have also used this app to post pictures related to French and Social Studies this year. Seems to be working! The "trial run" finishes on January 5th.
ScreenChomp - you share great ideas and explain your thoughts at the same time, also allowing you to add pictures, draw and record on the screen. I have played with it on the iPad and was able to correct student work and offer constructive feedback simultaneously. I see great possibilities for Second Language learning, something we'll delve into in the New Year. Be sure to check it out!
Quarrel - This educational game has been consuming me lately! It's a mix of Risk and Scrabble, two of my favourite games! Give it a try and let me know what you think....it's a WINNER in my book!
